AFTER YOU BUY NATIVE PLANTS, WHAT DO YOU DO?

Native plant expert, Betsey Landis, Education Chair, Los Angeles/Santa Monica Chapter of the California Native Plant Society will offer a 2 hour class in the care and maintenance of native plants in urban gardens. Come prepared to ask questions. Betsey is an author of the widely acclaimed handbook " Care and Maintenance of Souothern California Native Plant Gardens". The class will feature the opportunity for supervised practice in successful native plant gardening techniques such as site selection, soil considerations and watering suggestions.

ATTRACT BIRDS AND BUTTERFLIES TO YOUR GARDEN

Learn the basics of creating a garden attractive to wildlife with  Alan Pollack, certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat Steward with the National Wildlife Federation and Board Member of the Audubon Society . A tour of the Chatsworth Native Plant Walkway, an introduction to the use of native plants and sustainable gardening practices will follow the class.
